Back to Diana's Recordings index             Alec Wilder (1907-1980) was born in Rochester, New York and briefly studied composition at the Eastman School of Music. Much has been written about the technical features and categorization of his musical styles. This collection draws on the harmonic beauty of his compositions which I came admire again recently while playing "Be A Child" 25 years after I first played it.
