About the Solfeggio Search

To achieve key independence, the solfeggio search feature converts the note sequence that you enter into the sequence of chromatic internals that separate these notes, and then looks for a matching sequence of intervals in the roughly 10,000 themes stored in its MIDI database.

You will see that this method detects many unexpected musical relationships and coincidences. Be warned, however, that the search is thrown off by grace notes and trills, which it cannot distinguish from other notes. So you should avoid searching on notes to which these musical ornaments might have been attached.
