Church in Kremlin
The Bell Tower of Ivan the Great, almost in the exact center of the Kremlin, was begun in 1505 and completed in 1600 by Boris Godunov. Ivan the Great (Ivan III), grandfather of Ivan the Terrible (Ivan IV) was the historically critical Tsar who raised Moscow to pre-eminence over the other cities of Russia.
